The Eastern Middle School spelling bee will be held on Wednesday, January 29, at 1:00 p.m. The spelling bee will be held in the multipurpose/platform room and will include students in grades 5-8. Family members of participants are welcome to attend and the event will also be livestreamed on the district Facebook page.

Tomorrow's boys basketball game at South Gallia has been rescheduled for January 21 at 6pm.
Additionally, Friday's boys basketball game vs. Symmes Valley has been rescheduled for Saturday, January 11, at 3pm.
All middle and high school athletic events scheduled for Monday, January 6, have been canceled. Makeup game dates will be announced as soon as they are determined.

Eastern Elementary will be having our K-2 Christmas Concert on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 6:00pm in the cafetorium. All families and community members are invited for the event.
Eastern Local School District will dismiss 2 hours early on Friday, November 15, 2024 for the regional semifinal football game in Heath, Ohio.
There will also be a team walk throughout the district on Friday during the school day. Students are encouraged to wear their Eastern gear and create signs for the walk.
This Thursday, November 7, Eastern Local School District will dismiss two hours early for parent-teacher conferences. Conferences will last from 2 to 8 p.m. Parents and guardians can schedule phone or in-person conferences by calling their child's building office. Additionally, there will be no school on Tuesday, November 5, for election day and teacher in-service. Thank you.
Don't forget! Tonight is youth night at the varsity football game. All youth football players and cheerleaders should wear their uniforms and meet at the track next to the tunnel 10 minutes prior to kickoff. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m.
Also, the Beaver Lions Club will be holding a fish fry tonight! Fish sandwiches will be $5. The Lions Club raises funds to support students in the Eastern Local School District!

I would like to thank Stockdale Volunteer Fire Department for coming out and spending some time with our preschool and kindergarten students today. The fire department discussed fire safety, stop drop and roll, home evacuation plans , and importance of smoke detectors in your home. Most importantly, The fire fighters showed the students what a fire fighter looks like fully dressed in their gear in the event of a house fire. Students received a fire safety coloring book and plastic helmet!
Eastern Elementary PTO will be hosting a "Family Lego Night" on Saturday, October 19 from 6:00- 8:30pm. Please make plans to come out and enjoy this family night of fun.
This Friday night is Youth Night at the Eastern varsity football game! All youth football players who wear their football jersey to the game will be recognized and will line up at the tunnel for the team entrance prior to kickoff. Participating youth football players should be on the track next to the tunnel 10 minutes prior to kickoff. #OnwardEagles

Eastern Local School District will operate on a 2-hour delay Tuesday, October 1st.
Eastern Elementary will be hosting our annual Fall Book Fair and Grandparent's Luncheon next week. The book fair will run from Monday, September 30th thru Thursday, October 4th with the Grandparent's Luncheon being held on Thursday, October 4th.
Pictures for grades 4-6 have been rescheduled for tomorrow, September 12. All other photos will continue as scheduled for the remainder of the week.
