EHS FFA officers traveled to Southern State Community College this week to hear from the Ohio Department of Agriculture director, Brian Baldridge, and renowned animal behaviorist, Dr. Temple Grandin! #OnwardEagles

Last night was the middle school's annual STEAM Night! Thank you to all of our exhibitors and volunteers for a very successful evening!! #OnwardEagles

Congratulations and thank you to the entire Eastern Local School District and community on winning the first Pop the Top Challenge!

Also, thank you to Western Local School District for entering this friendly competition to support the Ronald McDonald House. The two schools combined to collect four barrels of pop tabs!!

Finally, thank you to Dixon Jewelers for creating and donating the trophy that will travel to the winning school each year!

Pictured receiving the trophy are Tiffany, Lance, and Lorelei Allen. The Pop the Top Challenge was Tiffany's idea after the family spent a significant amount of time at the Ronald McDonald House last year.

The Eastern Middle School spelling bee will be livestreamed on the district Facebook page at 1pm today.

Parent-teacher conferences will be held this Thursday from 2-8pm. Parents can schedule phone or in-person conferences by calling the office at 740-226-1544.

The middle school science fair was rescheduled for today. However, students who did not get the message or were not prepared today will have the opportunity to present tomorrow, Tuesday, February 10. If your child intends to present tomorrow, please notify Mr. Cornett or call the office to be added to tomorrow's list. Thank you

The College Credit Plus (CCP) meeting for the 2026-2027 school year has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 19.

This meeting is MANDATORY for participation in the CCP program.

The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Please enter door 10.
