84 students from the middle and high school participated in a MIPP (Making Impossible Problems Possible) Challenge Day on Wednesday, May 7. While working in teams of 4, these students were given 5 hours to solve a high-level thinking logic problem. Prizes were awarded to the top 3 teams from each grade band. The high school softball team will host the district quarterfinal against Peebles at Eastern High School this evening at 5:00 p.m. As a reminder, all tournament games are OHSAA events and subject to OHSAA tournament regulations. National Honor Society inductions will take place Monday, May 12th at 9:00 a.m. All current members and inductees that attend the ceremony must arrive by 8:00 a.m. and be dressed appropriately for the ceremony. Doors for parents will open at 8:30 a.m. Thank you.

It's almost time for FREE sports physicals! SOMC Eastern Family Practice provides FREE sports physicals to all Eastern student-athletes during the month of May. Parents and student-athletes can log on to Final Forms and fill out the 2025-2026 OHSAA physical form. Once forms are completed, physicals can be scheduled at SOMC Eastern Family Practice. Physicals scheduled any time other than May will cost $25.

EHS American Sign Language students will be signing the national anthem at the OHSAA boys basketball state finals this evening! The students will perform at the 4:15 p.m. game. All state finals are broadcast live on Spectrum News 1 and the OHSAA Radio Network. #OnwardEagles
