The OHSAA announced today that the regional final football game between Eastern High School and Danville High School will be played on Friday, November 22, at 7pm at Logan High School in Logan, Ohio. Presale tickets go on sale, Monday, November 18.

Eastern Local School District will dismiss 2 hours early on Friday, November 15, 2024 for the regional semifinal football game in Heath, Ohio. There will also be a team walk throughout the district on Friday during the school day. Students are encouraged to wear their Eastern gear and create signs for the walk.

Ride to the playoffs in style on the Eastern Eagles Fan Bus! EHS will be offering community transportation on a charter bus for this Friday's playoff game! Fans and community members can purchase admission to the game and a seat on the bus (prices below) that will take passengers directly to Heath High School. Passengers will be able to relax without dealing with traffic or navigation and travel in the caravan of buses transporting the cheerleaders, marching band, and pep section. Seats will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Payment must be received in the high school office to reserve a seat (cash or checks payable to Eastern High School). Note: This is a service provided by the school; not a school-sponsored/supervised trip. Students and children must be accompanied by a responsible adult (a free pep bus is also being provided for students). Prices: $53 Adults (bus plus admission) $46 Students (bus plus admission) $41 Adults and students (bus only) The charter bus will depart Eastern High School at 4pm and arrive at Heath High School at approximately 6pm. All passengers must abide by all rules and policies of the charter company and agree to do so by purchasing a seat on the bus.

Reminders for tonight's football playoff game... Eastern High School will host South Gallia High School tonight in the second round of the OHSAA football playoffs. Kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. Because high school football playoffs are OHSAA events, please note the following regulations and procedures that will be in place for this Friday's home football playoff game: Only school, media, and team personnel will be permitted to enter the athletic complex prior to 5:30 p.m. Only players and credentialed personnel will be permitted inside the fence surrounding the track and playing field. Animals, personal footballs or other balls, air horns and powered noisemakers are not permitted at playoff games. Vendors and fundraisers are not permitted during playoff games. Only concessions and school 50/50 fundraisers are permitted. Tickets All individuals attending the game, including students (grades K-12), must have a ticket purchased from the OHSAA website or at the gate. All pre-sale and day-of-game tickets will be $11 for adults and $5 for students. All playoff ticket prices are determined by OHSAA. Cash will be accepted at the gate. This Thursday, November 7, Eastern Local School District will dismiss two hours early for parent-teacher conferences. Conferences will last from 2 to 8 p.m. Parents and guardians can schedule phone or in-person conferences by calling their child's building office. Additionally, there will be no school on Tuesday, November 5, for election day and teacher in-service. Thank you.

Ohio State Trooper and Eastern graduate, Owen Strong, spoke to the class this week about the patrol academy and career opportunities. Last week, several EHS juniors and seniors traveled to Princeton High School in Cincinnati for the OHSAA Student Leadership Conference. The students heard from multiple motivational speakers, including multiple former professional and collegiate athletes. #OnwardEagles

Mr. Brewster's Careers and Transitions students recently visited Kenworth in Chillicothe to explore various career opportunities. Some of these students will also be working to attain their CDL later this year. #OnwardEagles

7th grade students from Eastern Middle School recently took multiple STEM-related trips to Shawnee State University and the Columbus Zoo! Students were introduced to multiple STEM programs at SSU and completed various activities at the zoo. #OnwardEagles

EHS seniors, Tucker Leist, Dalton Southworth, Declan Davis, Riley McCoy, Gracie Fox, and Lydia Park, traveled to Ohio University Dublin last week to participate in the OASSA Connect and Lead student leadership conference! The students worked and collaborated with other students from across the state to learn about leadership qualities and to develop collaboration, communication and problem solving skills. #OnwardEagles
