Eastern Elementary Kindergarten students were treated to a visit from the Stockdale Volunteer Fire Department on Friday, October 9, 2026. The visit was part of National Fire Prevention Week. The theme for this year is safely charging batteries in your house. The visit included a fire safety discussion, family fire safety planning, demonstrations, a chance to see the inside of the truck, and the opportunity to see a firefighter in their full turnout gear. This is especially important so students would know what a fireman sounds and looks like in the event of a structure fire. Eastern Elementary would like to thank the Stockdale Volunteer Fire Department for their continued dedication and support of our school and community.
