We’re going to visit the Mediterranean and Swiss Alps in Summer 2028, and YOU are invited!

There will be a brief informational meeting for sophomores only on Friday, March 20th, during Advisor time in Miss Daniels' room. On Wednesday, March 25th, at 6:00 p.m., current sophomore students, along with their parents or guardians are welcome to attend an in-depth meeting regarding the 2028 Mediterranean and Swiss Alps trip in the Platform Room.

We’re excited to tell you more about the trip we are planning with EF Tours, our educational travel partner. In this information session on Wednesday, March 25th, at 6:00 pm, we’ll talk about:

-How does this opportunity benefit your student
-What we’ll see and do on the trip
-Everything that is included in this experience
-How we’re keeping this safe and affordable
-How to enroll for this trip (before it fills up)

There are limited spots available on this trip, so we invite you to attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity!

College Credit Plus informational meeting is on Wednesday, March 18th at 6:00pm. This is a required meeting for students participating in CCP.

Due to an unexpected road closure, Kim Shaw's bus (#16-01) is going to be several minutes later this afternoon for student drop-offs (3/11/26).

The Moment of Excellence at the March 2026 ELSD board meeting was the SOC champion varsity volleyball team and senior, Laken Gullett, who accumulated 1,000 digs and 1,000 assists in her varsity volleyball career! #OnwardEagles

The Eastern High School concert band competed at the OMEA concert band competition at SSU on Saturday, receiving a rating of 2 on sight reading and a 3 overall. Great job! #OnwardEagles

EHS FFA officers traveled to Southern State Community College this week to hear from the Ohio Department of Agriculture director, Brian Baldridge, and renowned animal behaviorist, Dr. Temple Grandin! #OnwardEagles

Last night was the middle school's annual STEAM Night! Thank you to all of our exhibitors and volunteers for a very successful evening!! #OnwardEagles

Bus #21-01 (Jonathan Cantrell): PIKE SHERIFF: ODOT is closing St Rt 220 at River Rd due to high water. He will be approximately 5 to 10 minutes behind for everyone who lives past River Road on 3/6/26.

The varsity boys' basketball team will play in the district finals against Peebles, Sunday, March 8th, at Ohio University Convocation Center. Tip-off is at 2:00pm!

Congratulations and thank you to the entire Eastern Local School District and community on winning the first Pop the Top Challenge!

Also, thank you to Western Local School District for entering this friendly competition to support the Ronald McDonald House. The two schools combined to collect four barrels of pop tabs!!

Finally, thank you to Dixon Jewelers for creating and donating the trophy that will travel to the winning school each year!

Pictured receiving the trophy are Tiffany, Lance, and Lorelei Allen. The Pop the Top Challenge was Tiffany's idea after the family spent a significant amount of time at the Ronald McDonald House last year.
