The Eastern Local School District will be operating on a 2 hour delay today, Thursday, September 10th.
Eastern Local Elementary School will be hosting Grandparents Day on Thursday, September 17, 2026. Grandparents will be able to eat lunch with their grandchildren and visit the PTO Book fair after lunch. The cost of the adult lunch is $5.
Students will have lunches at the following scheduled times:
10:20-11:00 Pre School and Kindergarten
11:00-11:40 Grade 1 and Grade 2
11:40-12:20 Grade 3 and Grade 4
12:20-1:00 Grade 5

Kickoff for Friday's varsity football game has been moved back to 7:30 p.m. due to this week's heat. Please note, gates will not open until 6:00 p.m. due to the later kickoff.
Other football reminders:
Any solicitation or fundraisers at a football game MUST be approved by the building principal PRIOR to the game.
Pets are not permitted in the athletic contest during football games. Certified and marked service dogs will be permitted.
Footballs or any other ball are not permitted in the athletic contest during football games.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to the wet and unsafe playing conditions of our football field, tomorrow's varsity football game has been relocated to Piketon High School to ensure the safety of all student-athletes, coaches, and officials.

6th and 9th grade orientations will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026. 9th grade orientation will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the cafeteria and 6th grade orientation will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Students/parents may register for orientation by calling the office at 740-226-1544.
All other students (grades 7, 8, 10, 11 & 12) may pick up schedules and locker assignments on Thursday, August 20, from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the lobby in front of the middle/high school office. Students may also find their locker and put their belongings in their locker during this time.

As a reminder, admission to Southern Ohio Conference athletic events was increased last year to $7 for adult admission. While admission to all varsity games has increased to $7, admission to all Eastern Middle School games has remained at $5 for adult admission (please be advised that most other conference schools will be charging $7 for middle school contests).
Additionally, Eastern High School will offer season passes at a discounted rate for all varsity sports. Fall sports prices are listed below and are determined by the number of home games in that season. (NOTE: Season passes can be purchased at any time, but prorated passes will not be offered later in the season).
Varsity Football : $25 (5 home games)
Varsity Volleyball: $55 (11 home games)
Season passes can be purchased in the office or at the ticket table at any home varsity contest this year.
