6th and 9th grade orientations will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. 9th grade orientation will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the cafeteria and 6th grade orientation will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Students/parents may register for orientation by calling the office at 740-226-1544.

All other students (grades 7, 8, 10, 11 & 12) may pick up schedules and locker assignments on Wednesday, August 20, from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the lobby in front of the middle/high school office. Students may also find their locker and put their belongings in their locker during this time.

The Moment of Excellence at the June 2025 ELSD board meeting was Eastern athletic director, Rob Day, who was awarded the Exemplary Service Award from the OHSAA upon his retirement! #OnwardEagles

The Moment of Excellence at the May 2025 ELSD board meeting was Eastern Elementary student, Rownyn Smith (recognized for a perfect score on the state math assessment), Gavin Kerns (recognized for a perfect score on the state math assessment) the 2024-2025 varsity basketball team (recognized for their SOC and district championships, and regional runner-up season), and EHS boys basketball player, Tucker Leist (recognized for scoring 1,000 career points)! #OnwardEagles

The Eastern Local Board of Education is seeking to employ a long-term substitute teacher in 7th Grade Mathematics for the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year. On May 8th, Eastern Middle/High School held its 6th annual Cystic Fibrosis Walk to raise awareness for cystic fibrosis! The CF Walk is organized by Eastern alum, Kelsey Helphenstine, who originally organized the event as a student at EHS. Students and staff participate by collectively walking around the campus and making a donation to the CF Foundation.
